Ahhhhh!!! LOVE it!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I didn't see the picture...just read the post! She is sooooo beautiful!!! Do you remember when you said she has the same scowl as Charu did?! I'm going to have to send you a picture I have of Charu with almost the same expression as Lauren!!! My heart is bursting for you!!!
ReplyDeleteI know, I can't wait to see her smile :)
DeleteOh my goodness! She is such a little beauty. I can't wait! I can't wait! I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteMe too!!!!
DeleteIt's SO great that you got to see this sweet little photo! And it's so funny to see the furrowed little brows -- our daughter Anya Rashi's first photo showed the same expression. :o) So excited for you to get on that plane . . .

Me too!!
DeleteAnd I have only one suggestion for your packing list -- the other commenters had such good ideas! Another mom told us to pack a few gallon ziplock bags and a change of clothes/extra shirt for ourselves during the flights home. Some of the kids get airsick or have nerves or an illness -- that tip saved me from having to fly home from London to Chicago in a barfy shirt. :o) I washed out my shirt at the airport during our layover, popped it in a ziplock, and had a clean one to wear.

Great idea! We are so excited to have a direct flight from Delhi to Newark! It's 15 hours - but still better than a long layover in Europe somewhere. I like the extra shirt idea though - I'm not good at kid barf :)
DeleteCongrats as you get ever closer! She's a cutie!
ReplyDeleteRenae!!!!! I can't believe it is HAPPENING!!! So so so happy for you. Are you packing like mad? Wooohoooo! :)
ReplyDeleteEEEKSS! She is real. :)
ReplyDeletePraying for your packing to go smooth, and that she will be in your arms soon.
Renae, I'm sooooo happy for you... I cam imagine the butterflies in stomach... How exciting... Your direct flight is an excellent idea!!! We did that with our then 4 year old, and it was fine... wayyy better than all the connections and the wait at the airports... I wish you pleasant travels...
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! One last glimpse before you go to her for real! The other great thing we brought was a set of stacking blocks... they were a toy that could be stacked and then pushed over which is great fun, but also served as something to play with in the bathtub while in India and could be used as a snack cup on the plane and while traveling. Our daughter was past the stacking cup age, but still this one toy occupied her for long stretches of time.
